Hi! First of all, thanks for visiting my web
I’m Irene and I manage TranslatingWords.
I’ve been passionate about languages ever since I can remember, perhaps because having born in Mallorca, I grew up in a bilingual environment, or maybe because being very curious. Every translation is a challenge and a source of new knowledge thanks to the extensive research that I apply to each project. I analyze every text in detail. I find my motivation in the challenge of communication.
I graduated from the University of Granada with a degree in Translation and Interpretation and shortly after graduation I was officially recognized as a certified Translator-Interpreter from and to English by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
Since graduating in 2003 I haven’t stopped doing further training: teacher of Spanish for foreigners, professional proofreader, a course in translation technologies at University College, London, and I’m presently finalizing a Masters degree in Translation and New Technologies: translation of software and multimedia products at the Universidad Internacional Meléndez Pelayo.
I work with the main CAT tools in the market.
I’ve been translating professionally for over 13 years now, of which I also worked in Corporate Banking at the Royal Bank of Scotland for 8 years.
At present I am a full-time translator and many valued customers in different industries trust in TranslatingWords: The Royal Bank of Scotland, Cuatrecasas, Joan Cerdà & Associats, Gleeds Ibérica, Ayuda en Acción, Greenpeace, Bureau Editors, Be Live Hotels…, among many others.
Do you want to know more? It will be a pleasure to send you my CV and main projects.
